Activity Specialist Counsellor (Day Role, Non-Residential)

Our Activity Specialist Counsellors lead our elective activities at camp and play an important role in ensuring campers have an unforgettable Camp Cooper experience. Activity Specialist counsellors work 6 hours each day at Camp.

What do Activity Specialist Counsellors do?

Activity specialist counsellors have two responsibilities. Their first one is teaching an elective activity in the morning and afternoon.

Their second one is supporting and looking after the campers during certain parts of the day (before and after lunch). Please see sample schedule for further information

What are Elective Activities?

Electives provide campers with the opportunity to plan their own personalised activity schedule. Elective 1 is in the morning for 2 hours and elective 2 is in the afternoon for 2 hours.

They focus on developing key skills and personal growth. Campers choose 2 electives per week.

You are required to have the skills, experience and confidence to be able to lead your elective(s) on your own. There will be a maximum of 20 campers per elective.
